Step by Step Guide to listing your Business for Sale.
Choose between the Standard or Featured Package
On the first page you have the option of choosing between the two types of listings.
Standard listings are shown for six months, and allow you to upload one photo.
Featured listings are also shown for six months but offer several advantages such as enhanced appearance, three photos, and priority showing in search results.
Once you have made your choice simply click the “Get Started” button on the package of your choice, this will then take you to the page where you enter details about your business for sale.
Entering details about your business.
You are free to enter as much or as little information about your business as you choose. The first six fields need information but the rest are optional.
Tips
Numeric fields such as “Price” must only contain numbers, no decimal point, commas, dollars signs etc
The “description” field is you chance to really sell the business. Keep your description to the point and make sure to highlight the strong selling points of the business.
Entering your personal details
Your personal details are required in order to set up your seller’s profile. The information that you enter here is never passed on to buyers or any other third party. As buyers make inquiries about your business their details will be forwarded to the email address that you provide us with. Once you have their details you are able to contact them directly.
Adding pictures to your listing.
Adding pictures is a great way to enhance your listing. At the bottom of the page you will find a browse button to select the file/s of the picture/s that you would like to add.
Tips
If the file sizes are too large the system may “time out” try to make sure that the file sizes are reduced before uploading. We recommend that the file size is no greater than 100KB.
We have found some very good free software called Pix resizer which makes this process easy, you will find the download by clicking here.
If you have any problems after doing this and would like help you can complete the listing without pictures and then email them to us at support@hogarthassociates.com.au ,and we will gladly resize and add them to your listing for you.
Paying for your listing
After you have entered details and pictures of your business simply click “Continue” which will take you to the payment page.
We have three payment options, Credit Card, Bank Transfer, or Cheque.
If you select credit card your payment will be processed via the eWay secure gateway in conjunction with Westpac. Once your details have been submitted the listing will be added instantly.
If you would prefer to pay by Bank Transfer or Cheque you will find payment information for each method on this page. Once we have received payment we will activate your listing for you.
